^Lot 295 1937 Dated Mauser "S/42" Luger Pistol

This pistol has the correct "eagle/63" and droop wing eagle firing proofs with the top of the chamber dated 1937 and the toggle marked "S/42" for the Mauser factory. Except for the magazine, visible numbers match. Straw colored small parts, checkered grips, and nickel plated magazine with aluminum base (6174).

Condition: Very fine. The pistol retains 70% original blue finish with the balance a smooth gray patina with the grip straps thinning to a brown. The small parts retain 40% original straw color. The grips are very fine with some very scattered minor blemishes in the overall crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
